Hey, Peeps!

Our band would like to record our next full-length album – tentatively titled, “Thick Skin, Hard Head” (pretty fitting if you know me) – but we can only do it with your help.  We're raising money for studio time, guest musicians, post-production, and reproduction.  Since we’re an indie band, we don’t have a very big budget to get this done, but we want to make this our best album yet.

Our plan is to record at Festival Studios in Kenner, LA.  It’s the same studio where we recorded our first EP in 2007 (wow, it’s been a while!).  We would like to feature some of New Orleans’ best musicians as we showcase our new music with the hope that we can all bring New Orleans music to more people everywhere.  These new songs will feature our quartet with Nick Hingel on drums, Pablo Gonzalez on bass, Kyle Sclafani on lead guitar, and me on rhythm guitar and lead vocals performing our latest original songs – and maybe even our rendition of Bill Withers’ “Use Me” if we can meet our goal :0).  We will also have a horn section, keys, background vocals, percussion, and strings.

By helping us out, you can get some really cool exclusive gifts like a 5-song EP that includes the versions of songs we use to learn our new material, CDs and DVDs, posters, pictures, show tickets, Mia Borders merchandise, quality time with me and my boys, and lots more.

June was CRAZY! We had so much fun and we owe it all to our wonderful fans! First, we had some really great shows, so thanks to everyone who came out (especially our peeps in Montana!). Second, we finished in first place in our genre on OurStage's "Artist on the Verge" contest. WOW! Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to vote and spread the word. It means so much to us and we love you all!
